When AI compositions meet traditional Chinese instruments,

presented the concert Digital Splendour,

交出的答案是

and their answer was

別有風(fēng)味兒

a flavor all its own.

《東方既白》

From “Daybreak in the East”

《松花》

to “Songhua”

《嬌紅》等九首原創(chuàng)曲目

and “Rosy Glow”, a total of nine original AI-based works

既完美承襲了國樂的文化基因

not only preserve the cultural DNA of traditional Chinese music,

又為古老的音樂語言

but also breathe new life into this ancient musical language

注入了數(shù)字時代的生命力

with the energy of the digital age.

AI（人工智能）的創(chuàng)作其實是

AI’s compositions are in fact

基于它的數(shù)據(jù)大模型

based on its large-scale data models.

它的大模型里倒反而沒有非常多

Interestingly, those models don’t produce many

學(xué)術(shù)的 艱澀難懂的那一類作品

overly academic or hard-to-understand pieces.

還有一點就是

One more thing is that

雖然說是AI（人工智能）創(chuàng)作

although the music is created by AI,

但是指令很重要

but the human input behind it is crucial.

我們跟AI（人工智能）的團隊

We collaborated closely with the AI team

也溝通了非常長的時間

and spent a long time discussing.

所有（曲目）不是交樂譜

Instead of sending over sheet music,

它們交的是音頻

they gave us audio files directly.

這一點其實對我們

This really posed

所有舞臺上的演奏家是一個挑戰(zhàn)

a challenge for all the performers on stage.

搖滾嗩吶

Rock suona,

爵士二胡等看似不可能的音樂組合

jazz erhu, and other seemingly improbable musical pairings,

through the subtle orchestration of AI,

actually weave a sound that transcends time

and connects East and West in a whole new auditory experience.

二胡給人最初的一種感受

People often associate the erhu

可能是比較悲情的

with a rather melancholic tone.

Thanks to AI-assisted composition,

它給了我們這樣的創(chuàng)意

we were inspired with this kind of creative idea.

這次是一首二胡與爵士叫《輕紫》

This time, it’s a jazz-erhu piece called “Light Purple”.

就是想跳出學(xué)院派的那些作曲

We wanted to break away from academic-style composition

把二胡年輕的這種生命力表現(xiàn)出來

and express the youthful vitality of the erhu.

這臺（演出）里的嗩吶

And the suona in this performance,

請允許是搖滾嗩吶

let’s call it a rock suona.

當(dāng)時其實那些AI（人工智能）的創(chuàng)作人

When we talked to the composers working with AI,

他們還說搖滾有很多種

they said, “There are many types of rock.

你具體要哪一個

Which one are you after?”

我說稍微硬一些（類似）德國戰(zhàn)車

I said, “Something a bit heavier—like Rammstein.”

我們覺得音樂現(xiàn)在或許光好聽不夠

We feel that music today needs to be more than just pleasing to the ear.

也希望好看

It should be a feast for the eyes, too.

我們請了一位故宮美學(xué)的顧問

So we invited an aesthetic consultant from the Palace Museum,

郭浩老師

Mr. Guo Hao.

我們就說郭老師你閉上眼睛

We asked him, “Mr. Guo, just close your eyes.

這些顏色哪一些是可以直觀地表達

which colors can directly express

你聽到的音樂的感覺

what you feel when you hear this music?

你把它攢在一起

Gather those colors together,

然后我們再加上舞美和服裝的設(shè)計

and we’ll build on that with stage visuals and costume design

把它呈現(xiàn)給觀眾

to present it to the audience.”
